San Diego Area - Need to Store a Truck - 3 Weeks

I will probably be trucking my bike to So. Cal for a Baja trip in February. My plan is to be in Baja for 2 - 3 weeks and would need a place to park my truck for that time. I won't have a trailer, just a full-size crew cab truck. I know this is months away, but I thought I'd start trying to find some places now so I'm not rushing around.

Anyone have a driveway or parking area for a truck that doesn't leak oil.

I don't have one but might have a connection or two that'd work.

http://www.dualsport-sd.com/ <---- sign up here - it's free. Several people on the site have property and also some very good recent info on Baja since there's a core group that rides there often.

I can offer a fairly well stocked garage for last minute stuff and a guest room since we've posted together for a bit. If you're bringing the DR, I have most of the specialty tools if needed.

We have also done recoveries in Mex on occasion.....which won't be needed in your case, but..... A very helpful group.

If you post up on SDAR, I'll follow up your post and assist in coordinating a spot for your truck.

I can put you up and store the truck in my driveway. I'm in Ramona, about 30 miles NE of San Diego.

Thanks to both of you. I appreciate it! A buddy of mine and I will be riding, just the two of us I guess. I'm on the DR and he's on a KTM 500. The tortoise and the hare!

ETA: Nice forum TrophyHunter, thanks. I'm lurking, but will have to sign up. I wonder if I went to high school with any of the members. I went to high school in Chula Vista for a short time. Cool forum.

Aaron,

You and your buddy are welcome to stay at my place and leave your truck. It's about 1 1/2 hours to the boarder from my pace in Orange. Probably further than you want to be but the offer is there. I would love to repay the favor. The maps you provided proved to be most useful on our Union Creek trip.

Short video from that trip. Some of the best trails I have ever ridden.

Thanks guys. As things get closer I'll be trying to nail down a spot for sure. Having a few options makes me feel better about it working out. I appreciate it!

Nice videos, except all those damned trees! :)
