I am not a magician, simply I am polish ;-)

Hi yeuop,
It was a pleasure to read your RR. Great adventure!
I have 2 question.
Could you tell me more about road from Karatobe to Aralsk ( 400km wo gas ). Is there a road through Shubarkuduk, or there is only one way through Aktobe? MAP

And one more, Did you go from Murghab to Khorog and then you back same way to Murghab? Why you dont want to go up to Dushanbe Is there some problems to go this way?
Something like this: MAP

We have them in the Zoo, although for whatever odd reason, I don't believe that's what you meant. I think I might follow you.

Zoltar: I am sure you may find gas somewhere there.. sometimes it might just take you a little more time.. if you make a small detour you will find gas on that road from Karatobe to Aralsk for sure.. now I can't recall the name of the village but will find it if you wish..
I did not go to Dushanbe because there was not much interesting to me.. but it was my first time in central Asia, I'll be back someday ;-)

zandesiro: my XT did well in high altitude.. of course power was lower and fuel consumption got higher.. but the funniest thing was sound change..... instead of PUM-PUM-PUM-PUM-PUM it was more like PUFF-...-....-PUFF-...-...-PUFF a bit like Royal Enfield sound or so.. but generally it was ok and I did no changes in my carb settings

Hey yeuop,

Great to read your ride report here and glad to know you made it home.

We talked a couple of times. Once, outside the Italian restaurant in Bishkek when you were trying to figure out your GBAO permit situation and once at the ATM in Khorog, right after you arrived in town.

Looks like you had a fantastic trip. I need to start doing "secret exercises" to keep in shape on a long bike ride

Cheers,
Boarder

Hey Boarder,
nice to hear from you! I remember our two meetings, I couldn't recognize you in Khorog though ;) I guess I must have looked pretty much confused in Bishkek when I was trying to figure out my GBAO permit, haha
See you someday on the road!

Surprisingly winter here is pretty good for bikers so I brought my bike again to Andrzej Rduch (my mechanic in Cieszyn, Poland) to have a look at it.
Need to fix some small things and also to prepare my bike for the next trip in 2014 ;-)
