South West Adventure trail ( victoria)

http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=934198

Two guys on Husaberg 390s take on a two day ride in Soggy Wet Victoria near Portland.

The GPS plot for the ride is at www.transaustraliatrail.com.au and search in the Victoria section for the SWAT.

Any sane person would wait for a month or so to allow fo rthe rain to soak in before trying this track.

It is a great little video.

A bit of unedited video from a recent trip to the Sunset Country National Park with a group of inmates from this site. Some fantastic riding up there and a good place to get comfortable riding in the sand!

Swiss/French/Italian Alps backroads

Yeah, I know...not a 'local" ride, but a ride by 6 locals looking for some backways and byways in the western Euro-Alps.
Not a RR, but a comprehensive pictorial.

3 weeks of typical autumn weather, the odd snowfall overnight, loads of passes and high roads, dirt and tar, mostly single-laners.

It's HUUGE and only half-finished thus far with daily updates and additions.

~800pics at this stage.

2 Kawasaki's have some fun

Not much for words, thought the pics and video can tell the story.

Brisbane - Mt Glorious - Crows Nest - Blackbutt - Toolgoolawah - Brisbane. Bit over 400k's on a nice Sunday after 35mm of rain.

Moto off the story, you don't have to spend a fortune on bikes to have a great time.

Enjoy, and thanks to the ADV inmates who have previously ridden these trails and shared the routes

Listed under " Another Warwick to Kyogle day trip"

Found this little jem on my travels.
Managed to get the KLR over it.

KLR had to fall on me first just to put me in my place and then after getting through that the gate is locked another 2ks on.

And a nice Jungle shot

Central Victorian ride

http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=940018

I did a 2 day ride from SW Victoria to the central goldfields area of Victoria. The scenery changes a lot from coastal forests , through volcanic rocky regions to flatter cropping regions in the north. I skirted around the Grampians and went through the Pyrenees hills. The moonambel to St. Arnaud section was rough and rocky with great views form the top of the range.

I have posted the route on www.transaustraliatrail.com.au

Headed out to Jamieson Pub for lunch today..

https://maps.google.com.au/maps?sadd...sz=12&t=m&z=10

Left around 9.00, its a technical ride that requires some experience as there are off camber corners, the roads can be littered with flora and fauna and add to that the possibility of rain.

Great day for riding, overcast days even the light, reduce shadows and scare most other riders way for fear of rain

Two bike plods on the Warburton hwy, bowsers inoperable in Marysville do refueling in Buxton

Headed up a dry but leaf stricken Eildon-Jamieson Rd, the weather was 10 deg warmer than the Reefton Spur and I only saw 1 car the whole way.

Was having fun..

Pulled up to a quite busy Kevington Pub

Lovely place.. havnt been here for 12 months

Had a counter lunch

Headed back and the red mist descended..its funny when you have gone one way how much more comfy you are.... sacrificed a rosella in the process :-(

Only saw 3 bikes coming the other way, then 3 plods on the top of the Reefton. Refueled at Warburton and toddled of home...very nice

Mate, the title of this thread is "Ride Report Links".
You don't post the report here.

A link and one teaser pic is the way it's done.
