Its going on my R1100GS. I'll post a pic when its installed.
I have a few different items that I would like to be able to mount to the plate. Have you considered selling the quick mount kit without latching lever?

Cool. Thanks. I have the plate mounted on my GS. I'll try to get a pic posted.

Universal plate mounted on my 1998 R1100GS.

I was a dumbass and mounted the plate before I laid out the holes in my GIVI case, so I measured everything and made a drilling jig from a piece of MDF.

Here's the GIVI E52 mounted up. The case is kinda manky. Its about 12 years and 100k miles old.

Here's a shot underneath. I bought some more 5/16 washers for the inside and used the thick washers to create more space for a padlock.

JStory,

Thanks for showing us how you made the Universal rack work for you.

One thing I would like to point out is the locking feature of the lever is designed to be used with a 3/16" lock. With a 3/16" lock no need to raise the box. A 1/4" lock will fit in the hole but as you pointed out the lock will not fit underneath the box.

Looks good on the GS! Thanks again for posting.

Yup. I just didn't spend a lot of time looking for a lock.

Nice looking product. Earlier you mentioned the side racks are still in development, any update as to when they are expected to be available? (for a 2nd gen KLR)
