dirtydeeds you're in red deer? I don't know of any spots north of there or south of edmonton to ride. Looks like it will be warming up during the week though and I'll probably check out the sandy trails around here to see if they are ridable.
Only in Red Deer for a bit. Take possession of a place in NW Calgary on the 21st.
I do know a few spots around Red Deer, Edmonton and a couple in MacMurray. Calgary will be new to me.

There are studs for trail riding and studs for ice.

Correct. The ice studs work, but not nearly as good as trail studs.

For trails, most people go with Best Grip, or Trelleborgs. In either event, get out the wallet. My tires cost me around $790 and I did them myself with Best Grip.

This week looks too warm to get out snow riding which sucks. My fingers are now crossed for snow! Not necessarily cold, but bring on the winter sports!

I was out in Wiaparous yesterday. About 4-8 inches on the ground, but bare on south facing hills which get sun. All legal trails will not be rideable with rubber and those not legal wouldn't be much fun with frozen ground.

Big section of the FTR is now reopened. A little late for riding though.

Home is now Calgary. Sage Hill if anyone is around for a beer some time.

First item I get in the mail should be a frame for a 2008-2010 Husky. :)
Gotta put up a closet before play time though.

@Tmotten:
Get your work visa situation sorted?

Sweet.
I haven't brought the bikes down yet. I need to bring the 450 down so I can ride it and the SMT needs some intake work and a remap .

And only one weekend left for me in between now and Christmas. This entire 'work' idea really cuts into biking time.

We might be able to link up at the Calgary bike show, or I can meet you for coffee on that weekend if you can't make it to the show !!!
The ADS has a both set up this year, so you can swing by to say hello if you like as a few of the dudes will be kicking around.

I just finishing up my BC ride (Going to the Moon) over the last 2 weeks out here in the southern part at -4 to +8 "give or take."
It be far has been the best Novmber ride I've ever done since it's been 8 day good weather and 3 of rain. Ha Ha (lucky I am).

Cool. Thx for that!
When is that show? Anything that is good that happens on a weekend; usually happens on a weekend that I'm still on shift.

Good to hear that your ride went well!

Suspension Shop in Calgary

I'm going to get the suspension on WR serviced and heavier springs installed. Wondering if anyone here as experience with any of the shops in calgary. I don't want to end up with an MX setup. Also, What's a typical turn around for suspension service? I'm in a rush...

There are a couple of choices:

http://www.proaction-suspension.com

http://rideconceptscalgary.com/spring-rates/4557981387

When it comes time revalve the 690 I think I'm going to take it to proaction they have a pretty good rep. Anyone else have any experience with setting up suspension in Calgary?

I also have my GasGas forks and shocks in there for revalving. He did wonders with my KX250 front end last year.

Isn't there a Riders Edge or something out in B.C too?

You could always do it yourself! Good learning and not all that difficult. Bleeding shocks can be a bit of a PITA. Building my own power shock bleeder here soon to make it quick and easy.
