It's a friggin Porsche for god's sake. I'm sure it drives beautifully, they all do. It's a small suv, if it's not big enough, buy a Cayenne - very comfortable for 4. Why all the Porsche hate from the Subaru crowd?

No hate here - the Sube was sold due to the kids expanding in every direction.

My prime test now consists of jamming my 6'4" fatboy frame into the backseat of any car we might considering - if its a reasonable fit, the rest is gravy.

It must be a decent rig as far a build quality and overall reliablity... It is pretty decent looking to and must come with some upscale features without too flashy a brand name on the hood...

We own one. It's the wife's daily driver, but I end up driving it quite a bit on trips and whatnot. Very nice, comfortable car that feels like it should go a lot of miles before something major goes wrong.

Pro's:
Reasonably fuel efficient - probably 25 around town and around 30 on the highway if you keep it sane.
All the bells and whistles. The auto tailgate is awesome when it's raining and you've got a load of groceries.
Comfort. I drove solo from Dallas to Columbus, MS (500mi) and was not fatigued at all.

Cons:
Sloping rear glass looks good, but really cuts down on what you can fit back there.
5 speed transmission? Seems like a six is pretty standard these days.
Not nearly as fun to drive as the '07 passat wagon it replaced. My wife loved that car, but it didn't give either of us warm fuzzy feelings about reliability...

All in all though, it's a really nice car. I like to refer to it as the nicest Accord wagon ever.

One more thing... The whole Acura buying experience was the most pleasant dealership experience I've ever had. I can't recommend King Acura in Birmingham, AL enough!

Bidding is up to $12,800, hasn't hit reserve yet.

Edit: sold for $15k. - http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI...m=301020574557

This 1978 Dodge Diplomat station wagon runs a 440 Six Pack from a ’69 Super Bee for which it was featured in the February 1991 issue of Mopar Action magazine. It’s super clean and fully loaded, and as demonstrated in the article cover page, capable of massive, smoky burnouts—our kind of family car. We’d take the wheels back to the stock hubcaps to erase any hint of performance, and then save our money for spare rear tires. Find it here on eBay in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.

I suppose it's too fast for windshield wipers? Or more likely, it's just been painted for a quick sell

Yeah, I saw that this morning too. It looks great. I remember my step-dad a creme colored LeBaron wagon just like that. I remember the fake dowels on the wood Strom surrounds.
That thing looks great today.
