Master, and there's more. I find I'm no good at leaving things alone. Should be ready by spring...maybe.

Is the lowered front fender mandatory?

For racing you need them on the front and rear, although more people who are just riding are using them. Those spinning studded tires could chew you up really quick.

We should all use a tether switch too. Ya know, to shut off the chain saw when it leaves your hands.

Does anyone and/or is it advisable to lower the bike for the ice? Will dropping the front end in the triples effect the geometry as to pitch me over the high-side more freely? Likewise, should the suspension be set hard with no rebound?

If I am not log crossing or jumping ditches, I'd think stiffer would be better.

The opening scene was Winny. You could tell because there wasn't a shoreline in the back ground

But the race portion was from the Steelshoe. They shoulda stopped out for a beer.

Cory, you need another project? We could paint it orange.

That would be my choice but I've never tried ice.
CR500 has served me well in my past.

Didn't say it wouldn't need some work. But for a couple hundred dollars, it is a good carcass to start with.

Take the old Honda and add the additional $2500 between the costs of these bikes and I could make a real charger for the ice.

I meant wouldn't work so well as a ice bike.
But you should buy it and sink $2500 into it and we will see what you end up with.

A $3000 bike I would stand next to drinking beer while watching you's guys ride the ice. Tried it a couple of years ago and wasn't very comfortable. OK, I was/am a wuss.

I think it's cuz you rode the Eyeball on a set of cast off home built tires. Hell, I only rode that thing once on the ice too.

Would my fictitious $3000 ice racer be any better?
