Looking for tracks...

Hey guys...
Heading down to Baja in March for another adventure. Been down there a few times. Raced in the 1000 in 2008-2011 finishing all 4 years. This time I am headed down with a small group, planning to do a fairly big loop. Want to start and finish at Coyote Cals. Counter Clockwise loop down as far a Larado, up the gulf side as far north as Tecate and then back to CC. Total mileage should be somewhere between 1500 and 1800 miles. Looking for tracks of good single track to hit along the way.... Rock trail, 22 day trail, Jim's trail and Campershell have all been mentioned to me but I am looking for GPS tracks if anyone has them and is willing to share.

Also looking for accommodations along the suggested route that shouldn't be passed up. Thanks for the help. Most trips I have taken down there have been to race... Pre-run, pre-run, pre-run x 10 and then repeat on race day....then head home. Basically I've seen a lot of the race course and not a lot of the true treasures that Baja has to offer. Looking for the "off the beaten path" adventures and good technical single track that we can mix in along the way.

this reminds me of when danny hamel died back in '95. both were super-talented, and many more years of great races ahead of them. plus they were known as just nice down to earth human beings as well.

Spent the morning yesterday going over the little bike for the upcoming 4 day tour after Christmas. Everything is good to go. Really looking forward to a different Baja experience on the 525 instead of the beastly GSA.

Plan is to be at the Casselli memorial Saturday afternoon.

Hopefully we'll see you there Todd.

Good stuff! You guys do it right.

I've said it before and I'm saying it again: It only takes one good ride to catch the Baja bug.

Just returned from a cool little ride down to Cabo and planning a quick San Felipe run in mid-January.

Here is where I document a lot of my Baja rides: http://ineverfinishanyth.blogspot.com/

You'll recognize a lot of the places as I see you've been there, too!

Cool thread.

Dan

Spent 5 great days with some good peeps between Christmas and New Years. Did a lot of the 1000 course and stopped at the KC memorial. It's a very peaceful spot.

Anyone have any experience crossing the border at Tecate since the HWY 1 collapse between TJ and Ensenada? I am wondering how bad the traffic is now?

Our group crossed back to the US via Tecate this past Monday afternoon. We took the moto shortcut, however the wait for autos seemed usual.
