KTM 990 adventure stolen in Amsterdam

Hi fellow inmates. 2 days ago, early Wednesday morning my adventure 990 was stolen from my garage in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It was locked with 2 locks one of which to an anchor, alarm and a cover with lock. It is a 2011 model white/ dark gray with a distinctive carbon fiber rally windshield (made by Rade from Czech), orange frame protectors and turatech aluminium gps dock mounted on the handlebars. Will you please keep an eye for her? Also any advice (I mean other than alcohol to ease the pain and devoting the rest of my life to vengeance - which I probably will). I have theft insurance, but best case scenario it will take a few months before I am re-imbursed and start looking for another bike plus I have a feeling that I will be screwed bigtime when it comes to estimating the price of the bike. Let alone locks chains covers and other after market parts. Any ideas on what happens to similar bikes stolen in western Europe? Sold elsewhere? Used for crimes eg as getaway vehicles? Made parts? Thank you in advance, Nikos.

and this is what was left from my bike yesterday morning

They will sell it in parts , keep your eye on ebay and similar sites , if you get lucky dont call the police , get few friends from your local gym and go for a visit ( pretend to be a buyer ) they will never know what ( or who ) had hit them

Firstly sorry to see your Bike stolen.

For such a bike I would never have used a D lock of any kind especially to lock a KTM. If it comes back to you or you get another in time purchase an almax security chain. They can not be cut, cropped, wedged etc. They are expensive but you will keep your bike. Lock it through the frame and down onto the anchor.

Here's a link to their web site. http://www.almax-security-chains.co.uk

Fingers crossed for you man.
