Hell, the teeth look duller than a housecat's. What could possible go wrong? Tell him to get 2 so they entertain themselves.

What you guys probably don't know about this bike is his older ads. All worded that it's a rare import, and through various stages of re rebuild after a wreck. The first time I saw the ads was last year, about summer/fall. Listed as a rare bike that was laid down gently...missing Damned near the whole front end and pass side. Then it was the same deal, just new plastics, but the originals were used for some other rare version of this bike since this had "minor issues". Then the same deal and "get it cheap due to a repaint from a low speed drop". All for the low low price of $2300 or so at that point.

After the repaint it was a "Perfect" show bike and "everything" worked. Oh,except that minor carb issue that wasn't hooked up after his repaint. No biggie as the bike was barely ran,and only repainted since it's a show bike now. But, it's in perfect shape.

Now,I haven't been looking at cl moto ads for months and I see this jewel of a bike is still for sale, but the perfect show bike paint is just ok now. But it's still excellent, and it ONLY needs minor bolt ons. So, don't waste his time.

It's only getting better or worse.
Depending on your position.

So what you have here is a unmolested 1980 yamaha xs400.
Clean and clear Ohio Title. Bill of Sale included.

400 Firm.

Currently the bike does not run and battery not included.

I do have the keys for it.
Carbs are not shown in the picture but I do have them.
It has side sidecovers as well, one side is missing the yamaha branding, tank has missing badges.

Rims are nice no dents or dings, spokes are starting to show rust.

Exhaust is solid. Its not a crusty rusty as it looks, phone camera shows it worst than what it really is.

Spark plug hole stripped on one cylinder a common flaw for these. Ran on one cyclinder due to the spark plug issue.

80, XS, 400, Cafe, Chopper, Bobber, Complete, Beginner, Bike, Vintage, Old, School, Cool, Titties and beer!

WTF!!

I think you guys are reading into the ad too far.. One can easily see by the background in the photo that the guy is a straight shooter and doesn't run a junk yard, like you guys portray him...
