I went to the NYC IMS, here are some pictures

I'll start off with the best bike of the show

KTM also had some other bike to show... whatever

Vespa had a 300 Super Sport on display, which I liked very much. It's a scooter that can do 80 mph, and get 65-70 mpg when not ridden like an asshole. I would like to point out that I used the word, "scooter," along with the phrase, "ridden like an asshole," in the same sentence. :loll

Yamaha Star Bolt Scrambler. Very cool bike.

Finally, here was the killer piece of gear at the show: the Bell Bullit helmet... aspaldo begs to differ....

Is the Yamaha Star Bolt Scrambler going into production?

I hope so!! That's a sweet looking bike! Not that I can afford one, but I'd sure like to think I might find a used one in a few years.

One item that threw me was this headlight on a Busa. A skull headlight.

How did you miss this one?

This one felt like a feather. I would legitimately be scared to ride it.

This Daytona was pretty hot.

As years go by, sometimes you just want comfort...

As far as scooters go, BMW has some pretty high end stuff.

There were some really nice bikes in the cusom show.

And the WTF award goes to this one, in my opinion. Awesomely crazy paint job.

akarob,

Damn, I didn't catch the skull headlight on that 'busa. I think that is really cool!

From the BMW booth the notable bikes were the LC GSA, the HP4 (I agree with you, if the lightness of that bike does not give you pause, then you don't have enough respect for your life), and the GTL. That GTL especially made everybody in te group stop and ogle for a while. It's almost too pretty for the road!

I have the same pictures of that bagger, which looks like it was painted by MDMA itself. That was a sweet bike!

The funniest bikes at the show were the Indians. They all had this GIGANTIC starter button, which made me laugh my ass off because it so very much reminded of the old touch-tone phones with huge buttons to accommodate old folks. The irony was not lost on me.... That said, that 111ci motor sure sounded sweet.

Another point of humor was the amount of people swarming the Ducati section. If so many people love them some Ducati, how come I am having such a hard time selling mine?? Sheesh!

I don't think so, it seemed to be a one off custom bike for the show. I do not think Yamaha would ever release a street bike with TKC 80s from the factory

Oh the irony.

Also, that Bell Bullitt is still stupid. Dang hipster motorcycle gear...
