Renting motorcycle in Nepal

Hey guys,

Has anyone had any experience with renting a motorcycle in Kathmandu and riding it to other areas like Chitwan and Pokhara and returning say a week later?
I was just in Nepal but it was too brief and I want to go back. I hate buses (get sick) but obviously love riding so wanted to see if I could perhaps ride to Pokhara and Chitwan instead; but after witnessing the traffic in Kathmandu I'm not even certain I'll get out of Kathmandu alive?
What are your thoughts?

Cheers,

Nicola

Rented a small 2 stroke many (15) years ago. One of the local gas stations had a few for rent. Forgot how much it was, as I just rented for a few days to ride around the Kathmandu area. Think it was pretty cheap though. I do remember that the ring road around Kathmandu was so polluted with smoke & diesel exhaust I could hardly breathe. Once you got away from the Kathmandu area & up into the higher mountains the air was very clean & the roads I had all to myself. For A great little day ride head up to Bhaktapur & the roads above it.
