Another question if anyone can help, do i need a visa for Russia or for any other countries i'm planning on going to ?

I'm English , have a British passport but live in France and my bike is French registered and insuered , thats a good thing it covers me for everywhere i want to go but not Russia so where would be the place to get insurance ?

Cheers Phil

Pls note down one useful tel. number for Ukraine:
+380 97 900 999 0
( or 097 900 999 0 if you have smb local dial it for you from their local phone ).

This is 24X7 emergency number of MotoHelp, a voluntary motorcyclist self-assistance rendering all kinds of help ( paramedic, legal, tech. support, evacuation etc. ) on-site or by phone. Our services ( hope you won't need us but still... ) will be free of charge for you.

How do you plan to cross Ukraine? Point of entry, exit, timeframe, sightseeing interests?

What concerns Russian CL insurance, you can buy it right at the border checkpoint, on both Ukrainian and Russian sides. Of course, on the Russian side it will be a little cheaper ( but not radically ).
