Happy New Year (early) from back in the States! Great thread. Thanks for doing it. May next year be as great as the one past.

Happy new year

I wish you a happy new year. If you ever pass by here in northern Germany, you have a bed, a tent spot, a shower, breakfast, laundry and so on...

Thanks for all the New Years wishes! It is 7:30 pm here in Hawaii so I'm jumping the gun a little bit

I've had a great time on the island with family. I didn't get on a motorcycle the whole time and I'm itching again. We have been helping my sister clear invasive plants off her coffee farm to help get it back to good production. I fly out early tomorrow morning and I'll be in Hanoi on the 3rd. I'll have about 1 month in Vietnam on a little honda.

My bike is in storage in Phnom Pen. I'll be back there around the end of Jan for about a week. Some friends of mine asked me to talk at their school. I also have some new parts to install on the bike... including a new stator, new Mosfet Reg/rec and a Baja Design Onx light bar. 4x 10 watt LED... Should tell people "Get the fook out of my lane!"

This is the first time I have seen crash bars on a 690. Thoughts? Is it worth looking at or not even worth it? (they're custom)

I like crash bars when I'm riding alone and tip over I can get my leg out from under the bike.

Look forward to the comprehensive install writeup for this lot.

Happy new year Noah. Been great following your trip over the past couple of years.
And if you get to New Zealand, there is a bed here for you in Dunedin.

Cheers
Trev.

HNY!

I'm also going to do a preventative MOSFET reg/rect. replacement so will look forward to your report. Are you going to replace the crap KTM connectors?
