That plate never made it out of my yard without destruction.

A Blackdog plate got me through the remaining 80k...
I did go through a couple of them though.
California's Rubicon Trail did in the first one. The second one is probably still on the bike. Great unit.

BTW.. has anybody else done the Rubicon on a Mighty 950/990? If not, the bar has been set.

Our group of 6 riders got spread out and only three of us made it to town. The Mighty was injured but it was only a flesh wound.

It was gnarley but I didn't really "rock it" the Mighty did.

I rode a few miles of it on the 990, but turned back once I recognized a) I was riding it alone , b) I stumbled upon it so I wasn't really prepped for the ride and c) no one knew I was there. I did ride a good bit of it including slick rock this past weekend on my 450. Ha.

Congrats, that's a fun ride.

This is why I'm convinced now.

I'm trying to convince a few other guys to buy an Adventure, now. Thus this bump.

this was on the beacons rally in 2011 - this was the third of three laps you had to do and about half way along this particular rut which was probably 2km long - i stopped here to wait until i got some strength back in my legs to carry on...which i did and got a finish...which made all the pain worth it!! tidy!

happy days

Not exactly riding, it was more like pushing
Las weekend 3 day trip to Argentina with my mate Martynho, Leo_chile & friends. We were riding inside of a canyon and about 6 km of its end we found it was collapsed so we had to choose between riding 200 km back or try to pass the bikes over the rocks: the impossible alternative won

What Jaime fails to mention here is that we did this with 5 x ADV990's (one with fully loaded Safari tanks!) a GS800 and a KLR250. Between 7 of us. I can still feel every one of the buggers today!
