EDIT:

Chavo relaxing after first stage. And I want to comment on this. Having special crews to treat the riders makes ENORMOUS difference in the course of 13 days... I cannot imagine how Malle Moto's are coping and what on earth is going on in their bodies and mind. They have my total respect

That was me!! ;)

Well that is just sad
I will be out too (Bank holiday here... family racing, who will get first to the coffee house etc... ) and will be mobile for most of the stage.

So keep posts to a minimum and only with the necessary information eh?

EDIT: rmhrc628, I loose track of the inmates with 5 hours of sleep every day... I can see myself mummifying at the end of stage 13....

KTM's used to come with metal protectors so that in a sense the first impact gets in the metal thing to protect the engine. Going 150, if the chain does not stop (get in between the sprocket and the swingarm and result in a locked wheel) will most probably break the engine case. The forces as it turns through the front sprocket ''slapping'' the case are enormous....
Yeap know what you mean, I've ripped mounts out before when I broke a chain.

I agree most chains are repairable with new master links

It seems that a picture is not worth a 1000 words here and I need to type in at least on e character. He seems to be a character:

@ misc

when i set up a pre wanted list
and put this a other place as a link
when i used other pages on tracking site

clicking the link gives the last used page
although i have other nummers in the URL

Code:
Kawasaki
http://www.trackingdakar.nl/index.php?track=55,73,83,141,182
then used ctrl F5 to reload page, yesterday that does the trick today not.

last year this worked great now I can not make pre installed links.

??

All made it to ASS, anyway and as someone (Bluebull, I think) commented, that may be a first. No info that I've seen re when Frederic made it into the bivouac but he had to have been one exhausted rider when he did. Once rolling downhill, that snowball is inexorable.
