Also I would like to ask, if they are so fuss about reliability, technology and availability to the public, then why don't they make the penalty for changing an engine one hour. So that companies really try to make something to last the whole rally. Privateers will also be happy with that.
I understand that this is an endurance navigational rally and by missing a way point which is the navi part of the Rally, you get one hour penalty. Miss the endurance part by changing an engine and you are only fifteen minutes behind.
I think they will change the rules to this soon. Lets see....

- just got the live feed through the tv - I see the road book is of real use at the moment, just looks like a standard European Rally, with the crowds - just hope they can all recalibrate when necessary.

It has been confirmed that Alain Duclos went the wrong way at the checkpoint, a mistake which has cost the Sherco rider 8'27".

I asked him to turn around to show the blue bull on the back but he said the Stormers supporters in the country would get upset.

The top ten at WP4 are all within a minute, too close to call.

I think so, he left the DSS in 4th position. Did anyone see him come past?

It's the Bolivian altiplano, it's rare not to freeze your ass off there.

I always thought of it as the KTM rule.

Remember, they used to change motors every night.

Can't have their prize bull quit because they're expected to go the distance, now can we?
