BAJA RALLY 2.0 ANNOUNCES NEW DATES
SEPTEMBER 24th-28th 2014

ENSENADA, BAJA CA, MEXICO-Bajarallymoto.com announced today that the unprecedented BAJA RALLY 2.0 has been re-scheduled for September 24th-28th, 2014 from its prior date in May, 2014.

“We find better weather conditions in the fall season and want to attract more of the world’s top rally racers to Baja CA”, explains BAJA RALLY creator Scotty Breauxman, “This move also allows more time for those racers who want to travel from overseas to race a true navigation rally here in North America.”

The 5 day BAJA RALLY 2.0 will feature 4 days of timed special stages combined with liaison transfer stages and neutralization zones which will total more than 800 miles and travel through a handful of smaller and unique Baja destinations. Among the innovations are catered meals and camping in remote, overnight destinations. The BAJA RALLY has the full backing and support of Baja CA’s State and local governments.

“Part of the BAJA RALLY mission is to teach culture and history to our riders and their crews while we introduce navigation-rally to the citizens of this beautiful state”, Breauxman continued, “We believe this will create more return tourism to Baja CA and showcase the state’s magic to the rest of the world.”

The inaugural BAJA RALLY took place over 2 days last October and attracted some of the biggest-named motorcycle riders from North America including DAKAR Rally veterans, Andy Grider, Quinn Cody, Octavio Valle and the legendary “Mr. Baja” Larry Roeseler.

The BAJA RALLY is the first and only pure navigation rally-raid for motorcycles only in Baja CA and promises an incomparable motorcycle adventure modeled after the worlds greatest rally to test riders’ navigation, endurance and skill like never before in the state of Baja CA.

This is awesome news! Lots of actual time to prepare <-- four days is actually like three times harder than two days

So glad for the extra time. A little breathing room for raising capital and building the bike. But, I can't wait for a fall cross country trip!!!

This WILL be the best 4 days of my moto-life (until the next one).

What the Cost of entry? do you need chase? I might scrap the Alcan 5000 and pull the trigger for Baja, I haven't seen a grizzly bear in Baja yet

Just an FYI- Early Bird pricing staying in effect through Feb 25, 2014
$1,850 per rider
$80 per crew (meal plan)

On Feb 26th standard pricing starts
$2,450 per rider
$120 per crew (meal plan)

We learned a lot on our "exchange trip" to Oaxaca City for the Rally Playero Monster Energy Oaxaca-Puerto Escondido Rally last month.

Rally Playero will be sending riders to BR 2.0 as well as staff to assist our management.
I aint BS'n when I say this event is going to be the adventure of your riderime.
Thanks from our team to State of Baja, City of Ensenada and...

Entering riders pay for crew's meal plans and crew members will fill out a registration form and sign waivers and releases at or just prior to the event

Heres what the payment page looks like.

Right now each rider can enter and pay either 1 or 2

Have the organisers considered banning KTMs from the rally given the recent development in Dakar where the fuel from a leaking KTM sprayed the factory Honda in a light film of combustible material that resulted in the Honda of Paulo Concalves lighting up? Once again the unreliability of the Austrian machines has claimed a victim. At some point this must be recognized. Will the buck stop at the Baja Rally? Inquiring minds want to know.

Scotty I'll take an $80 discount for leaving my crew out of the fray and the feed bag. Looking forward to BR2. Chinga D

Johnny I'm out since from what I've read of some of Breauxman's Facebook post he hates the Police more than you hate KTMs and Officers are not welcome to ride with him. I'll make sure to spread the word that we are not welcome to all my fellow public servants, so we stay away.
