Maybe 2000 miles per year is exactly how many miles a year he enjoys riding. What does it matter to anyone else?

2011 bought on July 27, 2013 with 21,000 miles. Now got 27k on the clock.

Just to put this in perspective, 10-12k per year is a lot to some, and nothing to others, but for the past 5 or so years, I've only been riding about 2000 miles/year. The GS is a breathe of fresh air that has got me really excited and back in the game. (Before I had a wife and kids, I used to do over 25k/year, but that's another story)...

'00 model I've owned since it was a year old & 1800miles. Now sitting quietly in my garage with 53k on it - not a lot of miles but, boy, they've been good. Probably more than most at WOT...

If it's not thrashing the fastest two wheeled machinery known to man, down country lanes lined with stone walls, sometimes in thick fog & driving rain, it's not proper racing - Thank goodness for the TT.....

Problems:
Had the recalls done.
My rear wheel didn't have the spacer, wore my brake pads out and added drag. Dealer added spacer under the recall.

Std Adventure crash bar cracked at the mount under the tank, hear it is common. To be replaced under waranty.

Lately it will occasionally stall after slowing to stop at a signal. I need to take care of that soon. I am due for a fuel filter.

Fuel gage acted screwy a few times then worked normally.

Occasionally the horn will honk when I cancel the blinkers.
Gs 1200 wc brought new may and now has 10,000 no problems so far its a great bike will be selling when its a year old and will replace it with the GSA

2005 R1200GS bought new in 12/2005. 98,000 miles. Just got back from Baja, Cabo San Lucas. I had a drive shaft failure in Alaska at 67,000 miles. Still going strong.
