Jeez, folks, I didn't wanted to stir the waters too much.. I was really jet lagged..

It was just a bit frustration from not understanding the young riders, as in the team, we all have to listen to some orders. Otherwise that swiss clockwork called team breaks down. We all put our souls to this, not only riders, mechanics works 16 hours a day, spending the rest of the day driving car, team managers runs back and forth (at least the good ones) trying to fix the small and the big stuff and everybody's life depends on the results. We all have the responsibility over others lives. This is what was great on Chavo, we had good position few days before the end and he maintained it (even that he bended some stuff here and there.. :)) kept his head clean and calm

Because in this crazy race, nobody gives a shit if you were second, fifth or seventh the whole race if you do not finish. In one year time, nobody remembers if you won 5 stages, if you did not the podium. Marc won this Dakar without single stage victory.

But..

Chavo !!! I had no idea you hang around here !!

This place is better than Facebook, although I have no idea how some folks here can hang with the speed of this train

Ahh.. oops! My mistake to take a quote without factchecking.

So two, then? Or three? what the hell is scratch? Still. Once he knew he had a comfy lead, he didnt push it. Ha, coming in tenth and eighteenth in the final stages?

I'd say he won 3 stages, but the engine change penalty made him 10th on stage 11 even with the fastest time on the special. So officially he won 2.

Beirer Interview on Speedweek.ch

Some interesting quotes from Pit on the Dakar (from speedweek.com)

Cyril wanted us to neglect the other riders and be No 1, and he wanted a lot more money too.
So we decided forego the internal fighting and back Marc Coma We made
the whole team work for him

This approach was a success. We had a great team spirit. because we did'nt fight internally we had a better atmosphere than ever before

We will hire another young rider during the coming year. But our plan is clear: In 2015 we will go into Dakar with Marc Comaas our sole No 1 rider

Q: will Husquarna field a factory team in next years Dakar?
No decision made yet. We have to carefully think about what we do with Husquarna. All we know now is that we will be competing with a five rider strong KTM factory team in the 2015 Dakar

Q:You could get Cyril back and spoil him as No 1 at Husquarna

Ahm- Husquarna is not desperate enough do do that.....

Okay, I have never watched a 1:44:00 vid before, LOL. Can't believe how many people are out in the sticks lined on the side of the road to watch.

Wife thought he was honking his horn when the speed limit warning came on. :-)

I just watched the whole first clip - can you call a nearly 2 hour long film still a clip?

Anyway, I enjoyed it and am going to watch the others as well.
