Question Offroad in the Phoenix area

Hi folks, I am planning a trip to your area Thanksgiving week 2014 for 3-4 days. I'll be coming from Raleigh, NC. Most of my riding is mud, clay and sand, with as many rocks and hills as I can find.

I got a taste of the desert last year riding the Vegas area on a rental F800GS. Looking forward to renting something much more off roadable. Any thoughts on rentals or trails in the Phoenix area would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has time to show me the trails, that would be even better. Thanks

Looks like a great time, unfortunately I will be leaving that day. We fly in on Sunday and I plan on riding Mon.-Wed. I might have to pre-ride the COKE OVENS for you all, especially if someone local has time to ride during the week.

Thanks for the suggestion.

4play usually runs a pre-ride with a small fast bunch of folks. If I'm available I'll try to make it.

If not then there are always plenty more rides that you can do.

Relocation help wanted

Hi all,
I'm looking to get a recommendation for a real estate person to help my wife and I relocate back to the East area. We'll be buying a home but need to rent a place for a couple of months while going through the process and our current broker has been less than helpful finding rentals requiring less than a 1 year lease. I've considered buying an RV to stay in short term but haven't followed up on the idea. Having spent a lot of time in them over the years, hotels would be my last resort.

So if you know someone who can help us or have any other suggestions I'm all

Try some of the RV parks for park model rentals. This time of year might be harder but in 2-3 months there will
be lots.

I am going to goof around at Rolls OHV. Nothing Special. Just a mellow ride from Pobrecito to 4 peaks road.

Sandy Ride today at Rolls OHV with Julio, Stan, and Ricardo. I am looking forward to the gopro footage. Here are a few pics from today.

Thanks to Julio for filming all my carnage and to Stan for pedaling the bikes up the hills.

Bikes lined up at our first cove.

Sand Washes were the majority of our miles today

My bike/body print after rubbing my bike on the ground in the whoop section.

^ Looks like you all had a great ride yesterday. Great photos and look forward to some of the new GoPro footage of this ride. The "Hill"......let's hear about it.

It looks like I finally solved the pointing straight down issue when filming but I think I'm going to get a backup battery because I always seem to run out of juice half way through the rides. Because of it and the fact that I can't edit big videos due to my puny PC I only take short snips at a time. So sometimes (a lot of times) I forget I'm not running film through some of those cool section.

Case in point, that hill. :( Ricardo went down and the bike launched about 10 feet away from him down the trail. It was a little scary to see. Also scary was running straight in here.

Also didn't capture that. More concerned were we with his foot being pinned under the bike while wearing non mx boots. I think Ricardo will go back to Bulldog Canyon now and see that as a piece of cake. I'm sure it's the toughest riding he's ever tackled and he was a trooper. One time on the sand wash he face planted face first into the sand. It was spectacular and funny as heck if it weren't for the fact that at that point we were starting to tire and just wanted to head out.

I've got a short clip following him in his struggles through some of the sand sections and this was the easy stuff.

I've got a few more picks and about 5 videos I'm currently uploading.
