Fayetteville to Natural Dam

This route takes you from the Downtown Fayetteville area to Natural Dam a naturally occurring rock dam. Best seen during wet weather but beautiful at all times of the year. There is gas in Fayetteville and again once you reach Natural Dam. There is also a restaurant in the gas station. Be sure to try the cheese fries!

The route also gives you two alternates. If you want to camp, hike or swim stop in and visit or stay at Devils Den State Park. If you want a road that will challenge you, then go to Pannell Road alternate BUT THIS ROAD IS NOT BIG BIKE FRIENDLY ON ANYTHING BIGGER THAN A 650. Both are shown as alternates in the ride tracks.

The tracks are filtered to 700 track points and were made with CNNA 2013.3. If your version of CNNA is different be sure to retrace the route using your software or you will end up with errors on your map.

Enjoy! If you need the file in route form please click HERE

There is a little trail riding on a few of the Wolf Pen Gap trails that are incorporated in it but it is mostly big bike friendly. There are plenty of dirt roads around the trails that folks can take if they think the trails are not to their liking. The trails are not that technical tho.

2013.3. If you are using some other version just trace over my route and make sure your gps doesn't try to recalculate it when you activate it. I will make a track of each of the routes as well and post those in a day or two.

AR500 2014 Routes and Tracks Combined gpx

As the title states attached is the combined three days routes and tracks in gpx format for the AR500 2014. This thread does not allow the attachment of gdb files so you will have to get those from EnduroRdr's drop box on the AR500 thread. This file has been updated 4-6-2014.

This is the Blue Loop down at Mill Creek. This track is several years old and it is very possible that some of it may be closed and re-routing may be necessary. I don't do single track anymore so I can not confirm this, ride at your own risk and alertness. This track is abt 42 miles long

Your track is spot on as far as I can tell...but I must must warn that that the trail system we rode last year has been mucked up by 3 foot "berms" across the trail every 50 feet or so, apparently designed to reduce erosion (and to slow down amateur bike and 4 wheeler riders I'm sure) on the uphill/downhill sections of the single track. After about 23 miles of abuse, we were ready to part with with Mill Creek. The uphill sections were fun, but flying 10+ horizontal feet downhill on a loaded KTM 690 every few seconds was brutal and noisy for man and machine. The suspension made a racket every landing I have never heard before or since, and the ol' spine was barking that night. Left the trail on hard landing a couple of times but kept it rubber side down. Smarter people would have slowed down;)

I rode Mill Creek Blue loop Saturday on my mobile couch. The pig was broken so I rode with 4 wheeler friends. You are right. Although they did get rid of all the rocky hill climbs the woops suck!
