I have had no problems with any of my vintage yamahas. They have all started 2nd 3rd kick. I've never broke a yamaha frame like the rm's I've had. I'll still with yama's cause parts are keep and so far I've found that a lot of them parts are compatible. 😎👍

I'm also running 13-51 gearing. 12-51 made the ratios way to close for me. I also have 14" rear shocks, a Circle F pipe and a late 70's YZ/IT400 ignition. And some wide pegs. I think it would benefit from some higher bars though?
Cracking bike to ride

I can sort next weekend. what I did was buy some cheap steel ones off a pitbike. Cut out the center section and tacked them over the existing pegs
Barrell/jug is off at the mo having a new liner fitted. i intend too do the piston mod when I get it back for a touch more power

that's what i figured for the pegs - the smaller mx's can use aftermarket pegs - i couldn't find a bolt on peg for the 250/360..

which piston mod?
