Nothing has happened really so don't get your hopes up. I did admire the black sprayed rims & thought I should get her rolling. Just wanted to post this poster.

Almost bought that white R80 TIC on trade me last night after it was offered out for $3k. if I wasn't paying for a wedding and honeymoon it would have been in my garage with a sidecar bolted up to it.

Well given that Nutso's workshop is taking a hammering & Woodman is busy with his new baby i thought I'd better get my shit together.
I lifted everything out into the sunlight, cleaned up the workshop, shifted crap from one shelf to another, admired what I'd already accomplished on Berlna , lifted the frame, forks, wheels back in & looked back into my workshop with a warm feeling of satisfaction.

Having a look at it it seems there isn't much to do on it to get running just some money spent on a few items & a bit of manufacturing of others. Nice to get back in touch with it.

Wonder if anyone has ever tried re porting and recamming a boxer and putting the carbs where the exhaust ports are and visa versa . Like they used to do to Trumpys. Kinda.

That my friend is a fantastic idea. What an excellent concept. So all you'd need to do in the bottom end is have the cam lobes kinda reversed. Ok begs the question why are they not designed like that?

What info do you have on the Trumpys, what was it called & did it work?

Triumphs run 2 cams??? and the head can be reversed. probly not as simple as it sounds but was a mod that was used.

Appears to be routine for airhead ultralight conversions.

Hah! I can see Rufas's oil pressure sender unit in the middle picture
