India to Myanmar, is now possible for Foreigners?

For decades foreigners could not cross the borders India/Burma, but apparently that all changed. Here is a Blog ona couple that lives in Yangon Burma (Myanmar) that did just that. I dont know if their Visa status in Burma helped, but the is a huge break through for overland travel. The issue was safety, especially in the north of Burma (poppy) and also factions of rebels and warlords that were at odds with the Junta/Burmese Military. I have not been to the north Burma, but spent 3 weeks there in 2008, on a Minsk, and managed to get as far north as Namsham.
