I may pop over to see the ride end if it doesnt rain, but won't be riding it this time unfortunately. It was either the ride down South or the Pukemanu - the Treasurer suggested I wasn't allowed to do both...

Well the 2014 Pukemanu Ride has been and gone and unlike last time it didn't rain, so we had dust to contend with instead.

Had a great time and I've posted my ride report here http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ture-Ride-2014

Wink Takapari Road, Pohongina Valley - Saturday 22 March

Planning on ascending Takapari Road this Saturday - leaving BP Melling, Rutherford Street, Lower Hutt fuelled with coffee and petrol for an 8am off and second rendevous for those coming from other directions at Allied Petrol Station on Napier Road, Ashurst for 10am - other gravel roads taken in as the whim takes us

Cheers Oaters

Anyone heard from Nutso? Should we be checking for a big mess of broken limbs under the scaffolding?

Yup, that be me. Right simple like. Home tonight.

Just checked, & all my appendages & dangly bits still appear to be attached, so I may have survived the wrath of Mandy.

The short wheelbase R100GSPD bike is a wee bit bent though. Turns fine to the left. Too tall for any of the stands however.

You do realize that there is no 'forgive and forget' with the female species - just delayed retaliation/retribution. I reckon youll wake up one morning many years from now with a bent airhead front fork wedged firmly up your back passage.

so is the bike better or worse than you'd hoped?
did you have to go and get it yourself?
