Same here, I'm loving the writing style, the personal insight, and the inspirational factor.

Oh boy, Rafael is mark Twain on a Honda Cub.

Now for balls out ride reports. Borneo, follow the equator.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=585918

Borneo Equator Expedition - Jungle , Swamps and Heatstroke

5 bikes , some 4WD’s and 2500 km of Kalimantan wilderness along the Equator.

A taste of things to come.........

This was going to be some of the hardest and in some places the most scariest riding I'd ever done.......

Last Thread Jack I Swear

For some damn reason my quote function isn't working, but AteamNM I gotta' thank you with a few beers sometime for turning me onto that thread. It makes me smile and gives me pangs in my soul too at times. Much more I'd like to say about it, however it doesn't have a place here in this thread so for now I'll keep it to myself.

Its not THAT far, just 230 some odd miles at 45-50mph that's just 5-6 hours. C'mon you know you want to ride it there. My little trail 90 could sure use the like sized company either way.

OK I'm in but not on the new to me 65 Bridgestone 90. What to ride I guess depends on the weather and my wuss factor.

Glad to hear it! Maybe we'll have to work out a western route to pick you up in Rifle.

Well, I wouldn't call it vacation....Ok, there WAS a short stint with "Mr. Right", until I learned a little more....sigh. Sexy as hell, and I am crazy about his kids, but it's just not going to happen. I won't bore you all with the details.

Anyhoo...the NOT vacation part is that I am a small business owner, and I would give my two front teeth to put in my two weeks notice and bail!! I really really really really really (did I say really?) want to get the F___ out of this situation, I DO NOT want to be a boss, I just want to play doctor during working hours and then play other stuff after working hours.
But here I am, stuck in purgatory, if you will. You'll see in my sig line that I am planning my escape. I'm meeting with "people", whom I pray can hook me up with "people" and maybe I can get out of this situation in less than a year without loosing my shirt. It's a strange place to be, planning your departure, can't tell a soul yet, I feel like I'm lying to everyone all day. Hopefully soon I can correct that. Maybe in a month. Then I'm outta here - at this point planning to move to Grand Junction, work freelance, after that who knows?

Ok, hijack is over, back to the regularly scheduled program

Maybe you should consider moving to Santa fe and tending to the "local" pariedog population. I hear that there is good money in that.

Then you can do Tuesday brews and everything.
