Best paved road in az. Be careful the closer you get to morenci as there are some hairpins that sneak up on you and there's usually debris from the mining trucks. You'll have a blast.

Alpine is at 8000' so it will be cool but I don't think there has been any moisture lately. Anywhere in AZ.

If you are on a dual sport the backcountry highway between Clifton and stafford is beautiful. It's on the maps and starts just south of Clifton. Big EZ dirt road through the black hills.

I'm jealous. Have a great ride.

Awesome road I think its actually 10,000 plus at the top...Blue View amazing...but must pay close attention to the road no two second rulke here or you are down the mountain.... If you ride it north to south beware the shift change at the mine. around 5 pm-6pm. Still took some time to get thru it We were stuck behind hundreds of cars we finally took the shoulder nobody seemed to mind us scooting thru except one complete ahole who served into the lane right in front of me...he was very angry we were getting ahead.... Im sure the New York plates didn't help I guess... I started from ABQ and 117 off of I40 is a beautiful stretch of country and road as well.....overall a great day getting ready for rain in the desert....

It's not your plates. I think they invented road rage in AZ.

Sounds like a fun day.

Good timing. It's probably wet and/or snowy up there now.
