Brian, Costa Rica was something else... Riding a WR250 on those jungles were amazing. I have lots of pictures but mostly GoPro footage because there was no way for me to take my hand of the handlebar for a picture. I consider myself lucky for surviving this ride.
This was my first time on a small bike (other than couple miles on Bigtodd's 525 in Baja) and I am telling you, the terrain was brutal...
Anyways. First thing first, it is time to take care of the Noobs now.
Guys, if for any reason there is a problem with your camp spot, please find Jim (Spafxer) at the campground. He is the camp host and will have a list of everyone's name and space.

I spent a few days in DV last weekend wandering around during the storms, what perfect riding (photo) conditions!
We're really looking forward to seeing all the usual suspects and meeting a few new ones!

Anyways, here's some photos and a video I made to help get the blood pumping. Get your souls and bikes ready!

Cheers

If no one has site 19, I'd like to stay there. I am riding in and only have a small tent, so fellow tent folks are welcome to roost. Or put me in a shared spot if needed,
Henry

Wow!!
Finn, thanks for sharing pics and fantastic video. If you don't mind would you tell where you were on the 4:26 portion of your video, the one with all of the rocks.
Probably should wear a helmet there.
Thanks much,

Databases to consider: Amateur radio frequencies//Fuel stops

Joel has mentioned to me that there will be a base station in camp and a certain number of participants who are licensed. Does it make sense to have a list of participants with call signs and radios they are bringing in one location? What frequency(ies) will we be using? Are there those with familiarity of how best to make use of the radios, broadcast distances for example, and realistic protocols once ride groups start going out?

Similarly, it would seem that many of you, unlike me, have a current and detailed familiarity with DV. Would it be possible for us to create a list in one location with of all the available fuel stops, hours of operation, other services available, phone numbers, and other info knowledgeable folks know we may need? For example, in one post I recall a location with only 87 Octane fuel mentioned, and I am curious about whether a location will take plastic.

Hi Gary,

I just got your message this morning and placed you in #71. Away from the party central and big enough for whatever transportation you have. And remember that anyone with a HUGE trailer or something can park away from the campspots to leave enough space for campers. There is plenty of space in Panamint Valley.
See you at DV.
