SE ONF ride march 8-9?

Anyone up for ride March 8th or 9th? I need get some miles on my bike and I prefer if somebody else were there to call 911 incase I'm incapacitated.

Its been years since I've spent any time out there and I might need a guide. I live in Deland and am planning to stick close to home in case of trouble. We can meet at the boat dock where 44 crosses the st. johns.

Also, I'm a slowass noob so some of ya'll might find it a bit boring.

Considering the last time I had the bike out it broke down in less than 2 miles, I'm gonna have to pass.

Broke down? What happened?

There should be quite a few folks there and you should be able to find a group you're comfortable riding with.

I hauled it to the whispering wiregrass trail. The front caliper locked up after a few minutes of riding. Turns out its hard to ride in sand when the front wheel don't turn, so I crashed (slowly.)

I bled off the pressure and headed back, got about 50 yards from the parking lot and crashed again. Damn wheel wouldn't budge.

Luckily I have plenty of spare parts, so I replaced the entire front brake from lever to caliper. Only then did I notice the rear shock is leaking as well.

I supposed thats what I get for riding a 20 year old bike held together with zipties and bubble gum.

As you can see I'm a bit apprehensive about longer rides for now. Though, I need to get things broken in (or just broken) before I haul it to Alabama for the firetower 150.
