Fucking maroons. In other news, slowoldguy has managed to create a fb page called The Texas Rally Raid. He has impressed himself enough to only talk about himself in the 3rd person. He is amused.

It seems there's a little bit of Rod in everybody lately.

Hopefully that doesn't involve his tip(s).

Tips?

Makes me think of "Tri tips" Santa Maria style BBQ. I'm surprised nobody mentioned that yet.

Now to do something fun today, like change the alternator belt on my wife's R1200R she never rides, and I'm about to claim as mine. Or maybe go explore some of the roads I'm just now discovering around Marble Falls. Finished the rest of the annual full service on the two R1200's yesterday so nothing else to clean, wax, change oil in or generally waste time on.

You can go pay for and pick up my new bike in RR for me. That's something to do.

You don't need a new one, you'd just go get it scratched, wet and dirty, crossing 4' deep rivers with it. Give a whole new meaning to water injection, water cooling and full immersion baptism.

Mmmm... Tri Tip. That's so much better than Sog Tip but I can't find it out here. The one guy we asked about tri tip wouldn't do the cut despite having the whole cow there and precise instructions.

Anyway, in more relevant news I put the new battery on the 1150 yesterday and gave it a fresh drink of Royal Purple since it was the same price as Mobile 1. The interesting thing is my top speed from 70 mph in 6th gear without downshifting is up to 104 indicated instead of 101 indicated and it was warmer today than yesterday.

It takes shifting to 5th to get into the power band and pull past 104. I guess I'll have to turn the GPS on this afternoon and see what happens.
