Hi, the camera was a Canon G11, shooting in RAW. I now have a G12. Sorry for the delay in replying. I've been on the road from Singapore on the R1100R for the last two weeks. I am back in Laos at the moment, on Don Khong island. I came in from Cambodia at Veun Kham a few hours ago. The road the past two days in Cambodia was about 75% dirt, so it's pretty tiring on a bike with smooth street tires. The dirt roads were mainly deliberate, riding the secondary roads along the Mekong river through villages, but even the main road north of Kratie had a surprising lack of pavement to connect the potholes and amazing clouds of dust thrown up by trucks.

Wow, Thanks for the great stories with pictures. I grew up in Vientiane and still have lots of memory about Laos.

Great report!

Thanks for sharing the ride. I used your information to get across the river in southern Bangkok. I would have never found the ferry without that info!
Had a blow out on the road into Bangkok and Cambodia traffic is a little dicey till you figure it out. Starting to make my way back to Krabi tomorrow.
Thanks again for the great info!

Thank you all for the comments. It's great to know some of the information was useful. I've been on the road for the last month and just uploaded the 2014 sequel here: "Cambodia, Laos, Thailand - 8,300 km, 31 Days" http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=960652
