The optional single track section comes near the end of the route for the hard core guys.

Thanks, Terry. Is the Sunday ride just a shorter version of the Saturday route?

spring ride

Last year, about this time (well, within 2 weeks), Brett lead a ride with about 7-8 of us through Blackwater and parts of Alebama I believe. It was part of a ride Vic did the weekend before, but I couldn't make it. It was loads of fun, and I haven't been in that area for a while. It was a slow-paced ride with enough sight seeing and good riding to keep everyone entertained (and, the lunch was good and greasy too).

Wondering if someone is planning similar soon...need an excuse to get out and ride more towards yous guys area.

Did that ride involve Supertrapps and fire?

Spring Open Pond Ride

Funny you should mention that - several others have asked.

So yes we will have one at some point. I have one in mind that will be more about views and eating than riding... well sort of...

Start with breakfast and then see all the lakes and waterfall then have lunch etc.

March is too soon and mid April is Perry Mountain so maybe late April early May.
Need to do it before heat sets in...

Maybe next weekend we can do a Black Water exploring ride...

Vic,
I aint gonna make it up there either.
Not feeling real good about not coming, but I just don't feel tip-top this afternoon to gather my stuff to head up early tommorow morning.

Hoping you have a good time and really rub it in on what a great ride we missed!

fast burn / little bike ride

Count me in for the next little bike ride. The XCW is plated and jetted so I'm good go. More than anything, I'd be interested in seeing the spots near Eglin you guys keep talking about.

I saw the traffic on the Perry Mtn Dual sport ride. Sorry for the dumb question, but would it be fun for me on a plated 300 xcw?

The real question is what would NOT be fun

You may want to gear up some but you should be fine.

PM per ride

Holy fuck! I had a blast.

After all those years of following red arrows. Today I rode all the "W" arrows . A dream come true.

Impressions : this is not an easy DS. First 11miles give you a very good taste of what PM is like. 650 riders will be challenged during section 1. Fast burners will love it. No sand. Just red clay rocks roots washouts ruts gravel and mud of all colors and of course Uhills and Downhills.

From there you get true epic dual sport. Nice forest roads and minimal pavement. While the rest of the route is mostly road it all requires you attention. Serious attention. These folks have no idea what a straight road looks like.

I clocked 103 miles and was ready to stop. There are options for the younger (still stupid) for more if you want it.

There is also real single track if you really want it.

Video is in the works. I will post on PM DS site. Czech that site for bdukes update on info.

In three weeks this place will be green again. Plan on this.

It's a different world up here.
