Sweet looking ride Blake, swing by when you are in town and we can talk about trading it in on that pretty new Stelvio!! Enjoy the ride.
Instead of the Blue I would like to see a tenni green with brown leather seat on a Stelvio.
And the new Capo should arrive next week. I know you have not had one of those, should I put your name on one??

can you imagine the disk space used by 250,000 inmates uploading pictures to this site?

it was possible once upon a time before this site was 1/10th as popular as it is now...but photo hosting sites are easy as pie. It's not this site's fault

Stelvio footpeg options...

Now that it looks like a Stelvio is in my near future, I'm checking out accessory options and one item I'll definitely be getting is wider foot pegs to make standing up while riding more comfy.

My usual go-to choice for off road pegs is Pro Moto Billet's Fastway foot pegs, but they do not list the Stelvio among the models these fit on their website. I'm wondering if anyone here has mounted Fastways onto a Stelvio and if so which model they got.

Or, if the Fastways won't work, I'll be looking for wider alternatives to the stock foot pegs if anyone has a suggested brand and/or source.

Thanks Much!
David

I believe that the same pegs that work on a VStrom will fit the Stelvio.

I use the ones shown from Twisted Throttle. I like 'em. Comfy with the rubber on for road use and good grip and comfortable to stand on for off road forays.

I use the pivot pegs, they have two different widths available.

I've been looking at the ones through twisted throttle but they list them only up to the 09 models. Anyone using or know if they work on the 2013 NTX. ??
Thanks

They will void your warranty.

Actually they should be the same.

I don't know if this has been posted before. If so, disregard, but those who are looking for a Moto Guzzi scrambler, this is very interesting:

We were able to put a few more miles on the new bike today.

Things I observed lately:

-Clutch noise and grab for first few minutes....then fine.
-Little wind deflectors are now history. Took'em off and didn't notice any difference. I'll admit I wasn't going over 65mph.
-Fuel level "carrot" down to the last unit has 3 gallons left.
-Windscreen will get a Laminar Lip test. If the Lip doesn't help, the screen will be minus 2-3 inches off the top.
-I think I need one more gear. I can ride the thing all over the place in 5th and 6th. I guess the low gears are good for those taking a wild ride.

I searched a bit about the clutch "squawk" sound during cold starting, but if anyone can clue me in on if it's a problem or just "character", please do.

Keep your RPMS up. The bike has plenty of torque, but it's really happy and smooth in the 4.5k-7k RPM range.

Yes what Mr. Adams says. The engine if happiest up above 4.5 and even 5K RPM. It will do it but don't lug it.

The clutch squeal is Guzzi character. Mine has done it since new and still does with 14K miles on it. I will let you know in another 100K miles if it is a problem.
