Hi all!
Does anybody know if there is any official recall from KTM for the 1190 adv airfilter?I have heard that some engines had problems with dust or sand into them, but i have the OEM airfilter and i start thinking about replacing it...

Hi Okeanis,

There is no official recall or service note. Many owners have decided to fit the Unifilter (2 different versions depending whether your bike is a '2013 or '2014 airbox version).

You can get the Unifilter (cost about 50 Euros) by contacting FilterMan (the owner of the company) by private message on this forum. I received mine a week later, great service from Australia to Greece!

Keep in mind that the 2013 model UniFilter is no longer available, BUT the new 2014 model can be fitted to both 2013 and 2014 Adventure with no issue.
I ordered from their website directly. All good

There is an official recall for the 2013 models as my bike shop got the update in for mine but I think it is only a pre-filter. Seems a bit useless if it is as the problem appears to be dust finding its way under the airfilter cover.
I never bothered with it and fitted the Uni-filter kit.

I thought it was fixed for 2014? Are folks still installing the unifilter on the 14?

It was only a partial fix in 2014. They intsalled a plastic reinforcment wall but there were still reports on dust getting in. So the UNI is the way to go for now ay least

I have a 2014 and only ride on the road. Mine was letting dust through so I installed the unifilter. Will check it in a couple of months to see if it is now sealed up.

Can someone please provide the email address or link to Filterman?
My bike has not even come in yet, but this is going to be the first order of business when it gets here. Thanks!

Just send a private message on this forum addressed to Filterman, and search the forum for his previous communications.

Thanks. Found him in the Inmates list and sent him an email.
I tried searching the forum for his info, but couldn't find him that way for some reason. Not that great at searches I guess.
