No picture, but I got out. Went home for lunch, got the bike. I couldn't push it though the snow, so I put it in gear. Traction control light came on. I rode to work, then a little after. Total 50 miles. First ride of the year!

I saw 65* about 5:00.

See you folks this summer

David

When lived in Copenhagen (1980s), my neighbor asked me to build an arch. He had a pan, I built the stove. I gathered the sap in 5 gallon buckets by hand. One of my customers was a truss factory so I got free pickup loads of soft wood. I boiled the sap for what seemed like forever. When it was all done, he gave me 3 quarts "Half of what we made". He was fullashit. We should have had 4 gallons of syrup, I gathered it all by hand and boiled most of it.

I think my arms will be forever longer from carrying 5 gallon buckets full of sap. I will never forget falling asleep in front of the fire with a beer in my hand more times than I can count.

Now I visit a sugarbush and buy it.

Thanks for the memory
David

We are small scale as well, only 33 taps out this year and that is the most yet. We have about 3gal as well. Up until this year we used a small wood stove. Just built a barrel arch w/ restaurant steam table pans but still boiling outside.
