GS with low T? (Altrider)

After picking up my new to me 2011 1200GS Triple Black, it just didn't look like it had the Terminator look I was looking for.

So I stared reading the threads and pictures of bikes on here to see what it needed. Crash bars came first on my list to give it a little more manly look.
With so many options I ran across Altrider uppers and lowers would be just what the doctor ordered for the first dose of testosterone.
Id have to say, some of the best customer service, fast shipping (same day I ordered), came in Triple Black and Made in the USA.

I think it took me longer to unwrap them than to install them.

The color match was dead on.

It was going so smooth and fast I kinda forgot to take pics.

I never had to fight with any of the install. Once the lowers were on the uppers just fell in place.

I think a couple more injections from Altrider products and it'll be ready for Terminator 5.

Mine are the triple black color, more of the gray that matches the frame.

Often photos are not accurate. To me his bars look battleship gray!

I don't think that HISSING sound you're hearing is a loose valve stem!

OMG...get that thing away from my bike!
Oh...that's right...that's YOUR bike...not mine.

The sequel: SNAKES on a BIKE!

After one injection of testosterone, all kinds of things start to happen. Have to see what the skid plate does .

Your correct, the frame on the triple black is a gray.
You can see the color in my 3rd pic, I had laid the lower crash bar against the frame of the bike to show how close they match.

If you want the terminator look, try finding some good headlight guards (I'm trying to find some that actually look decent ), they need to be black mesh. Then put a bunch of gigantic fog and spot lights on it. After that I'm not sure, I'm in the same boat as you. I suggest a dual sport helmet with a black mohawk and some sort of machine gun holster...

I think we're on the same page, but the mohawk (a little to Mad Max).
I like the beefiness of Altrider, so the Skid Plate is next. Then on to a fog light that will mount under the upper crash bar.

Seriously? You're worried about the "look"?

I wouldn't say "worried" but if I can get functionality and look in one package why not?

But yes, looks count (I wouldn't pay for an ugly hooker).
