Please allow me to introduce...

The TLA1100!

Final production sample showing the running light kit...

The pictures don't do it justice...The results were much better than I expected...
This thing is hard core no BS Mil-Spec tough looking. IMO.

Decided on matt black type 3 hard anodize. Very serious looking...

Hooked a 9v up...

Of course these picture show the Truck-Lite led unit not included.
The wire harness is a first attempt that may change.
Looks like the anodize is gonna set me back another grand, but this is the way to go.
They say parts will be ready end of next week... I'll use this time to do the instructions and come up with a legal disclaimer. Also gotta talk to you guys about final price...I can tell you right now it's gonna be somewhere between the two Touratech versions. (even though this blows both of them outta the water).

Hey CG

SWEET!!!!

I'm so looking forward to finally having some decent light.

But one question, how are the LED's going to be hooked up? To the parking light power somehow?

Exactly,
Just plug into the wires that went to the parking bulb. Red wire plugs into the black plastic jacketed wire (12v pos) and the black into the bare plug (ground).

Divide and exploit. Works every time.

Looks good, and useful.

curious on the final price, do not care about anodizing at all.

This is the answer to my "Have to fix the headlight(s) project" for my '96 1100GS.

Please let me know when you are ready for funds.

Picked up the anodized parts today. Also went back on 12 hour days at work. Ugh.
I had to do some sorting of the parts when I got home (FYI forgot my keys at work so had to drive back and get them...) Dbl Ugh.
Tomorrow I'll assemble a no aux light kit and snap some pics and post.
As for price negotiations, I'm struggling. I have a new appreciation for short production run, hand fab'd products and what it takes to bring to market. Had I known it was gonna be this expensive and time consuming at the start, I probably would have quit at 1 kit for myself, and sell the two or three prototypes as-is. Oh well.
Next couple of days I'll post assembly instructions and settle on prices for the two versions.
I'm gonna warn you that it ain't gonna be cheap. That said, even after you add the Truck-lite, the set-up is still gonna be hundreds less then the HID TT kit and vastly superior- or your money back.

I have no use for one of these, but still appreciate the excellent work on this thing - it looks great! I can only hope someone is making parts like this for my '11 when I need them!
