Thanks for the feedback. I am kinda leaning towards the 800GS something about it just feels right for me but hate to spend that much. V strom is more in line with my budget but thinking I would always regret not getting the GS. Tiger seems to be more lively for the road but still kinda leaves me feeling like I settled for the Tiger instead of getting the GS that is sort of my dream bike.

What would be the main road or an intersection to this "Lock B" tag?

cecilsaxon says this is a sweet ride and even more exciting at night but I haven't bothered to search a map to find it

I was thinking Lock B, skipped over the "across the river" part. That is a very cool, almost always deserted stretch.

I had a ktm690 that was surprisingly good on the road (much better that the 450/530/500) and great for the medium dirt (not so much for woods/single track).. Almost had a gs800 but the sale fell through. 690 would be easier to load and be better in the dirt, 800 would be mo betta on the road and heavier (call me captain obvious)... Either of those get my vote...
Steve, located a good deal on a 13 Tiger 800 XC. Any input on this vs the 800 GS?

I wouldn't recomend it in the dark but if you put the keyboard down we could expect to see a new tag around...say 10pm?

Dude, that's only 65 miles from your house. I think you can manage better than 22mph on your feejer....

let's see, if I leave my house about 4:30 am, I can get the pic before dawn, and still be late for work.

or I could just sleep in...
