Bike just shuts off when warming up

Bike in neutral, on side stand. Start bike to warm it up. After about a minute it shuts off. Start it back up and it never skips a beat. Any ideas? I mean I can live with that but just making sure this isn't a symptom of something else.
Get it off side stand first?

Could it be an ECU issue or an overheating problem? Does it still happen if the bike is on a center stand? What if you sit on the bike for a minute while it's running without the stand deployed?

You could try a 15 minute idle reset.

This a start from cold so bike is not near even warm yet. Never happens again. I'll do it off kick stand and see if it does it next few times. Haven't done 15 minute for a while but it's pretty warm here now for that.

If you're worried about heat and you decide to do the 15m reset, have a wall fan set up in front of the bike but I think someone said don't turn it on until the rad fan comes on.

Mine does this occasionally, but runs great otherwise.

if you happen to have TuneECU . . .

and if you are worried, you could live monitor the "measured" temperature that this was happening at and raise the idle speed before and/or after that transition point by 50 or 100 rpm. I think this would prevent it from happening again. Another perspective is: why worry?
