One of you inmates maybe? Yesterday about 12:30 in Stokesville, CRF.

I took the DRZ for a long ride before the surgeon pokes a hole in my eye on Mon.
Stopped at the Dry River Mkt. for a bite - smelled kind of like, well - Cow Crap near there...
Mike - it's good to keep those cubicle dwellers guessing about you. Keep the shave job for a while (and have a great trip).

Good luck with the eye. It's a lot of fun.

1 - checking to see if I can post this (looks good so far)
2 - Any suggested changes?

I figure that I'll head towards Hburg on Wednesday, then spend all day thursday moseying on down to TN on roads such as these.

Your thoughts?

Take a gander at The Jefferson Pools in Warm Springs

You are going to love the ride over 606 past Airport Rd toward Clifton Forge. Make a left at the top of the mountain on Airport and continue up about a mile or two to the overlook where you can see 4 counties or something ridiculous.

Amazing view up there.

I would also suggest a slight detour heading south from Damascus. Instead of taking 91 straight down to Mountain City, take 133 SW toward Shady Valley. You go through a Backbone Tunnel stone arch (one of the shortest tunnels in the country) and then get to visit the Shady Valley Country store. Turn east there onto Hwy 421 - "The Snake" over to Mountain City. You won't be disappointed.

Towing a minivan with the Strom?
Snake was fun.. Me n Scott rode it on the way to RDV last year. LD and HB recommended it.

For those of you who are not hanging out with your mother this Sunday, I'm headed to the valley to hit Long Run, Rough run, west side, and dunkle. Anyone is welcome.

Mike, thanks for the routing advice.
Route has been updated in google. Now includes 133 and 421 coming out of Damascus.
I discovered Route 606 coming out of Clifton Forge when I rode up to Laurel Fork a couple of weeks ago, it really is an awesome little road.

Should be a nice ride! Hope the weather cooperates.

Matt, I'd love to join you but...

If you don't happen to go, I 'm roasting a leg of lamb for mother's day dinner. You are of course always welcome to join us.

Dinner will probably be around 3ish.

Hmmm I'm sure there is a way that I could work out both!
