I live just down the hill in Camarillo. There's very little dirt riding nearby but the paved twisties are all around and very nice.

I end up riding a good 50-100 miles to get decent dirt. Some very good mountain dirt riding (single track) can be found about 3.5hr north in the southern sierras just north of lake Isabella. There is also quite a bit in the forestry area behind Hungry Valley OHV area (Gorman) and some in the Frazier Park area.

The desert riding is about the same distance (2-4 hrs) depending on what are looking for.
