Gonna Ride to Tbilisi, Georgia and Get Married!

Looking for a new adventure, I have decided to put my R1200GSA, currently located in Heidelberg, Germany to good use. I have a friend from Georgia.

Back to things motorcycle: I'm thinking to fly over to get the bike in Germany and after some local work, heading out there to her in Georgia. It would be a 3,000 mile ride there, as I plan to go south through Turkey. Once there I would tour around with her, see the country, rest up and......marry her.

Of course, I will post the ride report (and wedding pics) here.

So, do you think the R1200GSA is a good bike for this adventure, and what kind of oil should I use? I'm thinking of using my Marmot 3P tent for our honeymoon. Any other equipment I should bring?

Immigration might not be quite so smitten.

Duh! Ya think?

I DO hope that the original post was in jest.

Otherwise, I'll have to contact a certain gentleman on Hardtstrasse and tell him to lose track of your bike

Yes, Stefan would probably burn my bike rather than let me start that adventure.

She is from Georgia (the one South of Russia!) and has been in the US for years, but has to leave now, as she has no green card. As she tells it, one way she can stay here in the US is if she marries a US citizen, then she can apply for green card and stay. She is planning to return to Georgia this Fall to see her family, but really wants to return to NY, she loves the city.

I told her about my recent month long trip to Europe on the bike, and my desire to return to do Eastern Europe and some of Russia some day, and one thing lead to another and she asked if I could help her stay in the US, by marrying her so she could get her green card. Of course I told her I would love to marry her.

I should point out at this time that she is very attractive, and a lot younger than I, and I like so many dumb ass guys have a weakness for this type of woman.

She could then start the paperwork process to return to the US and get a green card so she could stay.

I would then complete my tour by heading North into Russia, to Moscow and then St. Petersburg, then decide whether to do the North Country before returning to Germany and then home.

Once home I would help her complete the marriage paperwork chase and we would live happily ever after....

Of course, I will post the ride report (and wedding pics) here.

So did you do it? Where's the ride report? and pics of the bride?
