If I crash, gimme a minute. Just don't laugh at me while I'm cryin'. Once I'm done cryin' then y'all can laugh.

And don't interrupt my well-rehearsed F bomb chant.

Deal?

Hey you have nothing to worry about. I am the one who is the current recipient for the "Drop It Like It's Hot" award, so I am pretty sure you aren't going to be crashing more than me! And like Iya said, I will probably be winning that thing until 2022 or whenever we stop doing this Ya just gotta say screw it and go for it, most the time you'll be surprised what you can make it through. All I know is that thanks to ThreadKiller's School of Off-Road riding, I am getting a lot better/faster than I was in the past at a pretty quick pace. So sign up and start attending the classes! And don't be scared of falling because trust me you are not going to crash more than I have been! I AM NOT GOING TO BE WINNING ANY THE OTHER AWARDS AT THESE EVENTS AND I HAVE NO INTENTION OF GOING HOME TROPHY-LESS!

Edit: Also that little CRF150R is a TON of fun and it's very confidence inspiring cause you can just man (or even woman) handle it around the woods due to its small size!

You are indeed a badass!

Another tip: Having a suspension built for your weight and riding style will completely break your give a damn. You will hit ANYTHING at speed and soak it up. And you won't worry about a thing.

and what did you do? springs, valves, sag/preload/rebound adjustments?
i know i need a different rear spring for my weight and maybe even front springs and think about doing the job my mechanical skills might not be up to the task.

In the front I am running Ricor Intiminators and 5w oil with stock springs in the front end. After LBL, I'm considering upgrading to heavier springs in the front as I bottomed out coming down 141 a couple of times, mainly on that big downhill when I was carrying a good bit of speed.

On the rear, I'm running a Ricor shock. Once I did the forks, the stock rear shock became a glaring problem. The new shock works well and I am pretty happy with me setup. That said, you are running USD forks, and I have no idea if Ricor has anything available for the KLX. I also don't really have much to compare it to. I think that the only bike I've ever ridden (that wasn't a KLR) that had an aftermarket suspension is Troy's DRZ, and it's worlds apart.

Front is easy. The KLX would probably suffice with heavier springs and oil.

The rear is more challenging, but shouldn't be too rough. I ran out of time to do it myself before a trip and had SHY suspension at Sloans rebuild the shock and slap a heavier spring on. They do good work, fast too.

Alright, somebody set a date for Turkey Bay. I'll put the dirty shoes on the DRZ and ride sweep. I want a front row seat for the carnage and destruction that is bound to happen.

Happy, while you're crying, can we snicker a little if we look away?

Magic Mike, unless there is at least two bones sticking out, expect ROFLMAO!

Sorry to beat it to death, but seeing if there is any more interest? Not Gay Jeff and I are planning on meeting up with at least one other rider from FerrySTOC on Saturday and putting down some miles that day. Let me know!

You'd fit in great this weekend. Right now, it's me, Not Gay Jeff on the DRZ, and a KTM 400.

i know racetech and motion pro have options and currently leaning towards racetech. i may tackle it myself but may need to get some tools for the forks.
