Any ADVr's in Budapest

Curious if anyone on here is living in Budapest? I'll be there next month and I'm looking to rent a moto for the one free day I'll have (May 28th). Would be great to meet up with another rider if possible.

Or if you've been there and can recommend a 1 day ride from Budapest, that'd be great too!

So far, I've contacted these companies, anyone have experience/recommendations:

http://www.fthmotors.com/budapestmotorental.html
http://moto24.hu/motorcycle-rental-hungary

Thanks.

Never rented there but for one day, I guess a trip down and around Lake Balaton would be hard to beat.

The lake looks pretty impressive, thanks for the tip! Could be a nice day trip.

Hungary's a great country (was there for 6 months) and there's a lot to see. Check out http://www.hungary-tourist-guide.com for some ideas.

Remember to always have your lights on, avoid every strip club (apart from Marilyns) like the plague. Check out Champ's Sports bar, Margret Island, the Rocktagon, the Szimpla bars (they're in ruined buildings) and the Caledonia.

Budapest alert

My wife and I are arriving tomorrow. We will be around for a couple of days. Any ADVers I can buy a beer?

If there are any moto events worth visiting we would be interested.

Someone suggested the New York Cafe. I think that's the name. Is it worth the trouble to find?

Thanks!

Our current trip is in my sig file. It takes a bit to load.

I'm flying back to Atlanta today, too bad we didn't overlap. I can recommend moto24.hu if you want a rental (not sure if you're on a moto already). I rented a GS1200 and went to lake Balaton, beautiful day.

As for local spots, I liked the ruin bar district, Simpla is the main one. Lots of historical sites of course, beautiful city.
