Never wanted one on any of the bikes I had, I even had the option to EXTEND
the tail/fender on one of my scooters and I did that.

Even if it didn't stop the water and junk spraying up to me (topcase would),
I don't like bikes with a high tail and the rear wheel that ends behind the tail.

So, no tail tidy for me.

I'm sure it can even do light touring duties (some soft bags) and I have seen a video where they take a hypermotard (I think this one) super hard on some (soft) trails and gravel (ok, not the boulder type river beds but then who does...)

I'd take the 750, it's already too thirsty for it's own class, the 1200 has no range.

Besides, I don't really need more then 70-80hp, so the 750 is plenty.
A lot more usable then my current FZ6 which doesn't hit peak torque until you're
doing 50mph in 1st gear. I miss the engine from my ninja 650 (but not the vibes).

I'm some 400 miles from home in some hilly terrain and a FZ6 with +1 sprocket
up front is very unresponsive around town. It's fine where I live, but here, I need
something with more instant poke, and I loved the DD when I tried it back in 2008
or 2009.

He said doing stupid, not buying stupid.

We'll decide what he wants, and as he wants stupid, he wants the Speed.

I sat on one today, liked most of what I saw, but, and this is a big but, my legs were brushing against the valve covers, and I am 5'11" with short legs and a long torso. Did not like at all.

Mirrors size sucks too, very small.

I next sat on the F6B and liked it much better. F6B with factory cruise control would suit me just fine.

Just got home from the Ducati dealer in New Orleans and I'm still tempted to pick up the Panigale. Then I check out the Bimota, 1000cc vtwin, SB8R. Man, that bike is so beautiful to see in the flesh.

The bike I checked out: http://ttrno.com/products/2000-bimota-sb8r-used
