Pyrenees

Hello all,

A few of us are off to do the RB5 trans pyrenees road book in a few weeks, just wondering if anyone has done this and found any great camping spots or accommodation en route?

cheers, Mike

Not sure where the route takes you but there's a great campsite on the outskirts of Sort, on the Llavorsi side of town, right next to the river. They also rent out static caravans, can offer breakfast and there are some good restaurants within a 10min walk away.

The camp site near SOrt that Possu mentioned is nice.
There's also a very nice camp site between Pont de Suert and Vilaller called Alta Ribagorça

From Santander we rode to here for our first night about 60 mile away:

http://www.campingvillarcayo.com/?lang=EN. No food but town was a good choice

Then we stayed at http://www.camping-loscameros.com/info_a.htm which did great food and cheap wine at 4 euros a bottle!

At the West end of RB5 near Arguedas was this place http://www.campingbardenas.com/ - Good food and beer

Along the route we went to stay here, http://en.camping.info/spain/aragon/...21072/location but the only way to access it is via foot or bike as it's down a steep ravine with big drop offs! We got there at night and it was friggin closed for the season, so you can also try here http://www.armalygal-camping.com/?lang=en, which was also bloody shut, then if not there's a hostel in the village, which was also bloody shut. this was all due to it being in late october and out of season. As a last resort we stayed at a 4 star hotel outside the village!! http://www.hotelaguasdelosmallos.com/es/inicio Was the dogs bollocks in luxury for us dirty gringos!

Lastly this site has fantastic panoramic views, food and a bar at http://www.campingloarre.com/
