It looks like you made a beeline for Gaylordsville but then changed your mind... what gives?

that depends. It came with new brake lines, pro cycle sprockets, a moose racing skid plate, pro cycle saddle men and probably some other little goodies. the shock would probably be the first thing to change but other than that i find it very manageable off road.

Well, didn't make it to Mt. Greylock. When I mentioned to the wife I was going to go, I got "you're not going to continue to clean out the garage, you know the move is coming up". Since I was only going to go by myself, I surrendered. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.

Amazing how much crap you can accumulate in such a short time, 2 years, plus all the shit I brought from Westchester. I've filled about 35 boxes and I'm not done yet. I fucking hate moving.

Anybody need a nice 4' diameter glass top patio table, 9' umbrella, and weighted umbrella stand? I put them on Craigslist today, if anybody is interested I'll knock 1/3 off the already cheap Craigslist price. PM me for photos.

f that, i will take my own perfectly operational motorcycle.

*EDIT* i may have been confusing the other bike rental agency up there, as it specifically said no to certain roads/areas.

Plus you would miss the wonderful corn fields of the mid west.

Clearfield, PA to East Glacier, MT is 2034 miles of pure bliss for a flatland lover.

Oh, I forgot. You have seen it many times when going to the races in Kansas.

Serious business. If you are on I-94 in western ND, plan to unload the bikes for a few hours of nice dirt in the Teddy Roosevelt Nat. Park. By then you will be ready for some two wheel fun.

I'm coming up with ~$4350 best case scenario, or ~$10k worst case scenario... That's with airfare...

Vs...

$14k bike, plus $6k (?) in extras...

Plus 7k miles in a big duallie w/ at best about 20 mpg? ... 350 gallons of fuel at $4.00/ gall... $700/ person in fuel..

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be a dick, but renting would easily cost 1/2 as much, and you have a support system built in. If you have a mechanical issue, they just bring you another bike to finish your trip..

I'm sure that they would let you take it apart, detail it thoroughly, and put it back together again, after the trip... Although, your deposit may still apply. ... Ok, now I'm being a dick.

How much does it cost to put your bike on a palette and ship it across country? $1500?
