Be prepared for rain. It apparently always does. Now with your endorsement it definitely will.

Spring camping trip

It appears that our annual spring camping trip will not officially be happening this year.
The core group of us that attend, and usually plan this event, will be here instead http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1023542
Rick's Eastern Rendezvous seems to share the weekend we normally choose for the spring camping trip more times than not.
If there is a spring camping trip this year I imagine it will be a short notice informal thing.
If someone else would like to plan and make this happen please feel free to do so and post up the details here so others may attend if possible.

Looking forward to the fall trip already.

Guys: Not sure where else to post this, but just like last year, I'm going to be in the parking lot at the Days Inn motel on the northwest side of I-95 at exit 53 (one of the Walterboro exits) at 10:00 am Saturday morning, either 11 or 18 April. I'm planning on a 200 mile plus "road bike/sport bike" run. Lunch will probably be at the Mexican restaurant in Estill, SC. Plenty of opportunities to ride at your own speed (meaning you can take the lead any time you want!).

If there is any interest, those who check in can pick which Saturday it is. I'm open to either one. I'm going anyway, so if your up for it, come on out. We'll stick around until 10:15 to catch any late comers; after that you're on you're on---we'll be rolling by Harold's Country Club in Yemassee (the first time) about 15 minutes after we leave, so you can go directly there via I-95 if you miss us in Walterboro. We'll be back by it again in another 20 minutes. This will be a sport bike, street bike ride; I'll be on my old blue R1 (with fresh rubber front and rear and a well lubed chain!). This will be my last big ride before heading for Europe on the 27th, so I'm really looking forward to seeing some of you guys if you can make it.

Pass this on to anyone else on the network. If you don't think there are any good "road rides" around here, this is your chance to find out otherwise.

Sounds interesting. Between weather and work haven't had much time for riding so I'm ready to get out for the day. Will keep an eye on this ( and the weather ) thread.

If the ride is next Saturday, I would love to join in! If it's the following, I can't make it.

Draech/Travir: Next Saturday is fine with me, as long as the weather cooperates. Let's see what the others (if any) say. I went out and ran some of the route today and what I rode was in good shape (it was but I wasn't, I'm whipped!). Good news is the R1 is juuuuuust fine, but I need some work!

Standing by...

I'm on call but don't let that deter any plans. I haven't had much free time lately. I didn't realize til about 20 mins ago that I was on call next sat. I was thinking it was the weekend after. Also have out of town guests coming for the week. Just found out this evening. I may cage A2ron down for some bbq the weekend after if you'll be at the airfield. We'll be in touch. Have a great ride next weekend.

Justin: Where else should I insert the planned ride for this weekend besides on this site? Don't seem to have but a couple of people interested...like I said, I'm riding anyway, but I hate for others miss out on a good route---particularly if the weather is nice. Right now, it's not looking so great, which is probably good news. They never get that stuff right...
