Critter scouting.

If anyone around the Eugene and west area is into doing some scouting for or maybe hunting of various critters, I'd love to have backup for riding safety. Plans on when and where are yet to be made.

I'm waiting to see what tag if any I draw so as to know where to scout and what for. Also waiting on upland bird so I know about the Grouse regulations. I need to pick Elderberries this year and of course Chantrelles. Lately I've been grazing on Salmon-berries. It would be nice to have some company in the way back though I have non traditional weekends so that makes it challenging..

No can do, just got back from riding all day with KLR2 Andy, discovering Philomath gun shop and Junkyard Dogs are both closed on Mondays. Did discover a fun road between Territorial and Poodle Cr. Butler rd. was it's name.

I grew up just east of the west end of Butler. Great little bit of twisty, it is.

Had a good ride up there tonight. Beautiful views, lots of elk and deer tracks, fresh coyote doo. A couple of roads I liked to travel in years past are blocked, one has been long enough the growth has pretty much taken over. I went thru on one road that was pretty much blocked 5-10 years ago last time I was there. Neet having a bike to get places trucks can't! Came back the hiway since I had to go down and fuel up anyway.

I ran up to Waldo lake on my way home sunday,,saw a bear crossing the road ahead, and a huge doe near the boat launch.
